Renault Duster 2025-26: What’s Coming

The Renault Duster is set to make a big return in India in its all-new third generation. It will be based on the CMF-B platform, offering more modern design, better comfort, and updated tech. The new Duster is expected to launch by late 2025, with full-scale deliveries and more trims likely by early 2026.

This SUV will rival midsize favorites like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, VW Taigun, and Maruti Grand Vitara. Renault also plans both a 5-seater and a larger 7-seater version, likely called Boreal, to compete with SUVs like MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari, and Mahindra XUV700.

Renault Duster Design & Features

From what’s known, the new Duster retains its rugged identity but gets sharper styling with Y-shaped LED DRLs, a bold grille, plastic cladding, and large squared wheel arches. Angular bodywork and roof rails enhance its SUV look. Inside, the dashboard is modern with a 10.1-inch central touchscreen, 7-inch digital driver display, wireless connectivity, multiple USB-C ports, premium trim, and ADAS safety suite.

Expect high ground clearance of around 217mm, off-road and terrain modes like Mud, Snow, Auto, and Eco, and possibly AWD options in higher trims. There may also be more rugged features for adventure, such as hill descent control and robust tyres.

Renault Duster Engines & Powertrains

The engine line-up will be petrol-based only, with no diesel. India’s spec is likely to offer a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine producing around 156 bhp in mid and top trims. Lower trims may get a 1.0-liter turbo or 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine. Hybrid versions, including strong hybrid, are expected in some variants. Transmission options will include both manual and automatic gearboxes.

Renault Duster Launch Date & Price

The Renault Duster is expected to officially launch in India by late 2025, possibly around Diwali. The 7-seater version will follow a few months later, likely in mid-2026.

Ex-showroom expected pricing for the 5-seater Duster is likely to begin around ₹10 lakh to ₹15 lakh, depending on variant and features. The 7-seater Boreal could cost more, in the ballpark of ₹16 lakh to ₹26 lakh for higher trims.

If pricing stays competitive, it could be a powerful contender in the midsize SUV segment. For buyers seeking a rugged style, ample space, and advanced technology, waiting for the new Duster seems worthwhile.
